Find out the top immigration issues in recruitment of IMGs (International Medical Graduates) and how things may have changed during the current pandemic. Recruiters need to know the basic visa options for their foreign physician population in order to better screen and communicate with the candidates and successfully manage the on-boarding process.

Our Speaker:

Andrea Godfread-Brown has built her career around the practice of employment-based immigration law, including seven years in-house at Syracuse University where she handled all employer-sponsored petitions for non-immigrant and immigrant visas. Since entering private practice 10 years ago, Andrea has developed a specialty practice in health care-related immigration. She represents hospitals and medical practice groups when they hire foreign-trained nurses, physicians, physician assistants and any other allied health professionals. She is an active member of the IMGT – International Medical Graduate Task Force (a coalition of immigration attorneys who advocate for physician immigration issues at the national level). Andrea regularly handles J waivers, H-1Bs, O-1s and EB Permanent Resident petitions for many industries, including health care.
