The University of Vermont Health Network – Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) is a private, non-profit, Level II Trauma Center serving a tri-county region in northeastern New York. The catchment area is approximately 160,000. CVPH is a tertiary center that offers high technology and is JCAHO accredited. We are one of eight state- designated Regional Resource Centers for Emergency Management and are also a Designated Area Trauma Center in the state Lifestar Trauma System. The services offered here are advanced and our technology vast (da Vinci Robot and 64-slice cat scan to name a few). Our typical daily census is approximately 275. Our Medial Staff (over 160 members) is well represented in most specialties.
