St. Elizabeth Medical Center was founded in 1866. The Medical Center operates a 201 bed acute care facility and is accredited by ISO 9001, 14001 – Certified National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations – Accredited and certified by the New York State Office of Health Systems Management. St. Elizabeth Medical Center is the New York State designated Area Trauma Center for the Central New York area that partners with Mohawk Valley Heart Institute, and maintains an accredited Family Practice Residency Program, College of Nursing, School of Radiography, and a two year fellowship in Laparoscopic/Gynecology. St. Elizabeth operates the St. Elizabeth Medical Group, a primary care network of 9 centers, and a Women & Children’s Health Center.
